“Enamorada” — Classic Cinematic Illustration by Stan Watts (Print)
Enamorada is one of Stan Watts’ most classic, evocative, and cinematic illustrations. Originally created for the book Radio Eyes, Watts was selected—along with other top illustrators of the era—to interpret a famous rock song through visual storytelling. He chose the Brian Wilson classic “Heroes and Villains,” drawing inspiration from vintage Hollywood suspense: a woman in peril, a looming train, and a dreamlike, emotionally charged atmosphere.
Fun fact: the woman featured in this illustration is Stan’s wife, who posed as the model for the reference photography.
This piece was later selected a second time by actor/designer Phil Hartman, who used this elegant illustration for the Poco album he titled Enamorada, cementing its status as a fan-favorite and one of the most memorable images in Watts’ portfolio.
Reproduced as a premium fine art print, Enamorada preserves the dramatic lighting, rich textures, and timeless cinematic mood that made the original artwork so influential.
